07 AUGUST 2025 – MALIBAGO, TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. PSA Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Torrijos, through the initiative of the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) Torrijos, successfully conducted Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Malibago, Torrijos, Marinduque, on 07 August 2025. The activity took place at the barangay hall, ensuring convenient access for residents.

BRC Shiela Mae Matining, Torrijos Municipal Civil Registrar Ronan L. Regio and his team, along with the National ID Registration personnel, visited the barangay to assist individuals whose births were not yet recorded in the PSA database. The National ID team also facilitated registration for residents who had not yet enrolled in the National ID system and provided support in printing paper-based National IDs.

Before the registration began, the team conducted a brief information dissemination session, providing an overview of Civil Registration and the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) to the residents. During the activity, the team successfully processed and prepared Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) for 13 registrants who had completed the necessary requirements for delayed registration. Some of these registrants were born outside the province; therefore, their COLBs will be forwarded to the concerned PSA Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) or Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) for proper registration. Additionally, PSA-issued birth certificates were distributed to three BRAP beneficiaries from the barangay.

This successful mobile registration initiative underscores the strong partnership between PSA, LGU Torrijos, and other key stakeholders. It reflects a continued commitment to bringing essential civil registration and National ID services closer to communities especially those in remote or underserved areas helping to ensure that every Filipino is counted, documented, and given access to vital government services.
