On 28 June 2021, PhilSys started the Step 2 Registration in the province of Marinduque with a target of 215,350 registrants, all of which are five years old and above. By the first quarter of 2024, the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office has already registered a cumulative total of 195,158 Marinduqueños including children below 5 years old, which is equivalent to 90.62 percent of the target individuals set in 2021.

In the second quarter of 2024, the total number of registrants for Step 2 Registration in Marinduque had reached 204,404 individuals, representing 85.45 percent of the target population of 239,207 registrants, which already includes children aged 1 to 4 years old.

Overall, the cumulative output for the year 2024 was 14,269 registrants. This is equivalent to 55.27 percent of the total target for the first semester.

The municipality with the highest number of registrants was the Municipality of Boac with 51,778 registrants, which is equivalent to 90.39 percent of the population target. On the other hand, the municipality of Buenavista has the lowest number of registered registrants with a total of 21,282 registrants, equivalent to 81.72 percent of the population target.

As of 30 June 2024, the number of completed Step 2 Registrations in the province of Marinduque was 204,404, which accounts for 85.45 percent of the target population. 

NATIONAL ID DELIVERY UPDATES ACCORDING TO PHILPOST

By the end of December 2023, PhilPost has already delivered 70,243 National IDs throughout the province of Marinduque. Among all municipalities, the highest number of issued PhilIDs was recorded in the Municipality of Boac, with a total of 23,436 National IDs, while the Municipality of Buenavista has the lowest number of issued PhilIDs with the total of 4,506 National IDs.

ISSUANCE OF EPHILID

On 03 October 2022, Philsys launched the ePhilID, a proactive strategy of the PSA that will allow more Filipinos to immediately enjoy the benefits of being  PhilSys-registered. By the second quarter of 2024, the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office has issued a cumulative total of 159,858 ePhilIDs including ePhilIDs of children below 5 years old, which is equivalent to 78.21 percent against the total number of individuals registered in the National ID system.
