27 September 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. In a continuous effort to bring the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) services closer to the public, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque has successfully co-located in two establishments in Gasan: the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Gasan and CARD Bank – Gasan Branch that happened on 27 September 2024. These co-locations aim to provide more convenient access to PhilSys registration and related services, ensuring that residents and underserved sectors, such as persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) and rural communities, can participate in the government’s national ID system.
This initiative is part of the PSA's broader mission to promote inclusivity and ensure that all citizens, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to avail themselves of government services. By setting up co-location sites in BJMP Gasan and CARD Bank Gasan Branch, the PSA has taken a significant step towards bridging the gap between the government and the people, especially those in marginalized sectors.
The event received positive feedback from both establishments, with personnel expressing their gratitude for the convenience and accessibility of the services provided. The Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at BJMP Gasan were especially appreciative, as this event represented a rare and valuable opportunity for them to be integrated into the national system, fostering a sense of identity and belonging.
Moreover, the co-location of PhilSys Services at CARD Bank's Gasan Branch has significantly benefited office staff, who frequently face challenges in finding time to travel for these services. This strategic initiative not only conserves time and resources for CARD Bank employees but also promotes greater participation in the national ID program. As a result, it enhances the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the national database.
Looking ahead, the PSA plans to continue expanding its reach by setting up more co-location sites in various parts of the province and persistently implementing purok-based registration to access even more remote areas. With these efforts, the PSA reaffirms its commitment to making government services more accessible, efficient, and inclusive for all Filipinos.
Individuals who have not yet registered are strongly encouraged to participate in these initiatives to enroll in the National ID system. You may visit the Fixed Registration Center or our official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PSA-Marinduque for the schedules of PhilSys Mobile Registration.
