24 January 2025 – TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. As part of its continuous efforts to increase public awareness about the National ID, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) recently carried out an information dissemination campaign within the municipality of Torrijos. The campaign focused on informing local establishments about the acceptance of various formats of the National ID, with particular emphasis on the Digital National ID.
During the activity, PSA Marinduque personnel visited 16 establishments across Torrijos, distributing flyers and stickers to serve as visual reminders of the acceptance policy. These materials emphasized the importance of recognizing the different formats of the National ID—the physical card, printed National ID in paper format/ePhilID, and the digital version—as valid proof of identity for any transaction.
The campaign underscores the commitment of PSA to promote inclusivity and accessibility through the National ID, aligning with the goal of providing every Filipino with a secure and universally accepted form of identification. Establishment owners and employees expressed their appreciation for the effort, acknowledging the value of the campaign in clarifying the role of the National ID in daily transactions.
PSA Marinduque extends its gratitude to the local businesses in Torrijos for their cooperation and support in advocating for the seamless implementation of the National ID program. The office also calls on other establishments to adhere to the advisory and embrace the benefits of the National ID system in fostering efficient and secure services.
