09 JUNE 2025 — BOAC, MARINDUQUE. Upholding its promise to leave no Filipino behind, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to inclusive public service by delivering National ID registration and issuance services to the remote and mountainous communities of Barangay Tumagabok and Barangay Sabong in the Municipality of Boac through a successful two-day mobile registration drive on 6–7 June 2025.
Undeterred by challenging terrain, inclement weather and long travel hours, National ID field personnel brought essential services directly to these geographically isolated communities, ensuring that identity, access, and a sense of national belonging extend even to the farthest corners of the province.
Understanding the hardships residents face when traveling to the registration center, the office took a proactive step by laminating the National ID in paper format (ePhilID) prior to distribution, providing immediate, practical convenience to recipients. This laminated ePhilID, accepted in both public and private transactions, offers secure, ready-to-use proof of identity—especially invaluable in areas with limited digital access.
During the two-day outreach, National ID Team successfully registered 52 individuals, including—senior citizens, and distributed 117 laminated ePhilIDs. Services provided included PhilSys Step 2 Registration, issuance of the laminated National ID in paper format, and Transaction Reference Number (TRN) verification and retrieval.
Residents expressed deep appreciation for the outreach, highlighting the convenience of receiving services locally and the elimination of travel-related barriers. This initiative significantly eased access to vital registration services for these underserved communities.
Through efforts like this, PSA PSO Marinduque continues to bridge service gaps and uphold its mission of inclusive governance—ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the nationwide rollout of the Philippine Identification System. The office remains committed to delivering equitable and accessible services, with additional outreach activities planned for other remote and underserved areas in the coming months.
