17 June 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Romblon Provincial Statistical Office is currently conducting the June 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) in the province. Due to the dispersed sample barangays for the survey, three (3) Statistical Researchers (SRs) are to be  involved in the conduct of the data collection on June 8-28, 2025 in selected municipalities of the province.

The LFS is a nationwide survey conducted by the PSA to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. The results of the survey will provide high frequency statistical information on the nation’s labor market and better understanding on the current situation of employment and economy of the Philippines.

Utilizing the 2023 Geo-Enabled Master Sample for Household-based Surveys, the survey has a total of 96 sample households for the province to ensure reliable estimates of the labor and employment indicators. These samples were deemed sufficient to provide reliable estimates on the national and regional level.

Trained statistical researchers (SRs) uses a Computer-Aided Personal Interview (CAPI) data collection system to eligible respondents located at the municipalities of Corcuera, Ferrol, Odiongan, Romblon (Capital), San Agustin and San Jose.

PSA Romblon enjoins the support of the public, especially the sample households, by providing the required information to authorized PSA field personnel during interviews. All information obtained from this survey will be kept strictly confidential as stipulated in Section 26 of RA 10625 (Confidentiality of Information) and Section 8 of RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Confidentiality) and will not be used for taxation, investigation, or law enforcement purposes.
