2 JULY 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Romblon Provincial Statistical Office is currently conducting the Second Quarter 2025 Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) among twelve (12) sample establishments located within the province. This initiative is part of the nationwide effort to collect timely and relevant data on the movement of commodities across provinces.

The Commodity Flow Survey aims to collect quarterly data on the movement of goods via road transport, with a focus on tracking inter-provincial commodity flows. It targets key sectors including agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, manufacturing, and wholesale trade. The data collection will be carried out by the designated Statistical Researcher, Mr. Allen Lister V. Salvador, under the supervision of the focal person, Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna.

In the province of Romblon, the survey's enumeration period is on July 01 to 17, 2025. Utilizing the Paper-and-Pen Interview (PAPI) method, the trained statistical researcher conducts interviews with qualified respondents in the municipalities of Alcantara, Looc, Odiongan, and Romblon, collecting essential data on the movement of goods outside the province from April to June 2025.

As PSA Romblon continues to deliver relevant and reliable statistics necessary for policy formulation, it enjoins the support of the public, especially the sample households, by providing the required information to authorized PSA field personnel during interviews. All information obtained from this survey will be kept strictly confidential as stipulated in Section 26 of RA 10625 (Confidentiality of Information) and Section 8 of RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Confidentiality) and will not be used for taxation, investigation, or law enforcement purposes.
