11 July 2025 – MAGDIWANG, ROMBLON. On 10 July 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office, in coordination with the Local Civil Registry Office of Magdiwang, successfully held the awarding of Security Paper (SECPA) copies of Birth Certificates to thirty-eight (38) Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) beneficiaries at Conference Room, 2/F Municipal Bldg., Brgy. Poblacion, Magdiwang, Romblon.

The event was facilitated by Sangguniang Bayan member Hon. Antonio Menese, Municipal Civil Registrar Ms. Sandra Elena P. Famero, PSA Romblon Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Johnny F. Solis, Registration Officer II Ms. Maria Cristina M. Uy and Registration Officer I Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna.
This awarding activity marks the third batch of BRAP beneficiaries in the municipality who have been issued their official birth certificates through the government’s intensified efforts to ensure universal and inclusive civil registration, especially among marginalized groups. BRAP primarily targets individuals who have no existing record of live birth, such as Indigenous Peoples, persons in remote and underserved communities, and other vulnerable populations.
During the ceremony, CSS Solis emphasized the importance of birth registration as a basic human right and as a gateway to accessing education, health services, employment, and social protection programs.
The Local Government of Magdiwang Magdiwang also expressed their continued commitment to the program and their appreciation to PSA and its partners for supporting the people of Magdiwang.
