As part of our commitment to generate quarterly data on fisheries production, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will be conducting the Quarterly Inland Fisheries Survey and Quarterly Aquaculture Survey for the Third Quarter of 2022.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Occidental Mindoro is currently conducting the September 2022 Labor Force Survey  (LFS) across the province. The data collection for September 2022 LFS started on 8th September 2022 and will end on 28th September 2022. 

The Quarterly Aquaculture Survey (QAqS) includes the Aquaculture farms' owners/operators as respondents which are involve in the propagation and culturing of fish and other fishery species in farming facility such as fishpond, fish pen, fish cage. It also includes oyster,  mussel, and seaweed culture. The QAqS gathers information on volume and value of aquaculture production by aquafarm type and species per quarter at the provincial, regional, and national levels.

The Quarterly Inland Fisheries Survey (QIFS) includes the inland fishing households heads/members as respondents, who are involve in fishing operations performed on inland bodies of water using fishing vessels of three (3) gross tons or less. It also includes fishing activities using fishing gears but not requiring the use of fishing vessels. The QIFS aims to gather information on volume and value of inland fisheries production by species per quarter at the provincial, regional, and national levels.
