PUTING BUHANGIN, MOGPOG, MARINDUQUE. PSA-Marinduque PSO, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mogpog, has successfully conducted Mobile Civil Registration Services in Barangay Puting Buhangin, Mogpog, Marinduque on 18 December 2023. This activity was an initiative by the Samahang Magsasaka ng Puting Buhangin MultiPurpose Cooperative. The said activity was held in the covered court of the said barangay. 

Birth Registration Agent Shiela Mae Matining, together with MCR Virginia Sartillo and staff, was present to provide various information on civil registration laws and the process of delayed registration through Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), and to deliver services, such as acceptance of requests for civil registry documents on PSA copy thru BREQS, to the constituents of the said barangay. Recruitment for the Kasalang Bayan participants was also conducted by MCR Sartillo. Possible target beneficiaries for delayed registration under BRAP were also listed down for verification into the PSA database. PhilSys Registration Team was also present to register individuals who have not yet enrolled to the National ID System. 

BRAP is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Mogpog LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
