MOGPOG, MARINDUQUE. On 12 January 2024, PSA-Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mogpog, actively participates in the conduct of Mobile Civil Registration Services in Barangay Hinadharan, Mogpog, Marinduque. The mobile registration activity was held at the covered court of the said barangay. 

Birth Registration Agent Shiela Mae Matining, together with Mogpog Municipal Civil Registrar Virginia Sartillo and staff, were present to register individuals who do not have their birth certificates. Another service was also delivered to the constituents of the said barangay, the acceptance of requests for PSA copy of civil registry documents thru BREQS. Philsys Registration Team was also present to register individuals who are not yet enrolled to the National ID system.

Before the registration proper, MCR Sartillo provided some information regarding Civil Registration Laws and answering the queries of clients regarding civil registry problems. On the other hand, BRA Matining shortly discussed the process of delayed registration through Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), as RCS Lester Malapote explained the importance and the use of the two IDs - PhilID and ePhilID. 

On the other hand, another Civil registration services was conducted in Barangay Candahon, Mogpog, on 15 January 2024. 

Citizens avails the services offered by LCRO Mogpog, the requesting of PSA copy of birth certificates free of charge for the Senior Citizen/ PWD under the GAD Fund project. The Philsys Registration Team was also present to enroll the unregistered individuals to the National Identification System in the said barangay. Additionally, LCRO Mogpog is searching for partners who wish to tie the knot in February. MCR Sartillo also offered advice for those experiencing issues with their records, including incorrect birth certificate entries. 

BRAP was implemented in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System. This undertaking is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSOMIMAROPA and Mogpog LGU. As of 2023, 95 target beneficiaries were allotted to be registered in the Municipality of Mogpog. Hence, PSA Marinduque, together with LCRO of Mogpog, conducts Mobile Registration activities in various barangays of Mogpog to ensure that all unregistered births will be registered to the concerned PSO/LCRO.
