20 JUNE 2024 - MOGPOG, MARINDUQUE. In collaboration with the Mogpog LGU, the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) organized Mobile Registration Activities in Barangays Sumangga and Magapua in Mogpog. These events were hosted at the respective Barangay Halls.

Before the registration commenced, BRC Shiela Mae Matining, along with Mogpog LCRO personnel Hannah Ditan and Leandra Jardeleza, provided comprehensive information regarding civil registration laws. They also outlined the process for delayed registration through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). As part of these efforts, Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) were prepared free of charge, for four individuals who completed the necessary requirements for delayed registration.

Additionally, the initiative included other essential services, such as accepting requests for civil registry documents thru Mogpog Batch Request System (BREQS). The event also aimed to identify potential beneficiaries eligible for delayed registration under the BRAP, ensuring their details were verified on the PSA database for future reference.

Overall, the Mobile Registration Activities conducted by Marinduque PSO and Mogpog LGU exemplify proactive efforts to improve civil registration services, educate constituents on their rights, and facilitate the documentation of vital events within the community. These initiatives contribute significantly to enhancing governance and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of civil registry records.

BRAP is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Mogpog LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples group, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
