21 JUNE 2024 – CABUYO, TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. PSA Marinduque PSO and LCRO Torrijos successfully conducted a Mobile Registration activity on 21 June 2024, in Barangay Cabuyo, Torrijos, Marinduque. During this event, BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining, along with Torrijos MCR Ronan L. Regio and his team, facilitated the registration of certificates for seven individuals whose birth records were found to be unavailable in the PSA database. Some of these individuals were born outside Marinduque, necessitating their documents to be forwarded to the respective PSO or LCRO for further processing and subsequent registration.

Furthermore, as part of the event, a Birth Certificate in Security Paper (SecPa) was issued to one beneficiary through the BRAP program. This beneficiary expressed gratitude as he finally obtained his birth certificate, without any cost.

This initiative highlights the efforts of PSA Marinduque PSO and LCRO Torrijos in ensuring that individuals have access to essential civil registry services, particularly those whose birth records are initially unavailable in the centralized database.

This initiative represents a collaborative effort among PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA, and the Torrijos LGU aimed at enhancing civil registration levels, particularly within marginalized communities. These communities include Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sectors of the country. The primary goal is to ensure that all individuals in these groups obtain their PhilIDs (Philippine Identification System IDs).
