29 AUGUST 2024 – TIGUION, GASAN, MARINDUQUE. On 29 August 2024, PSA Marinduque PSO, in partnership with LCRO Gasan, carried out a successful Mobile Registration for BRAP in Barangay Tiguion, Gasan, Marinduque. Birth Registration Coordinator Shiela Mae D. Matining, along with Gasan MCR Maria Sofia Madronio and staff, worked thoroughly to prepare certificates of live birth for eight individuals whose births were not yet registered in the PSA database.

Additionally, a Certificate of Live Birth in SecPa was issued to lone BRAP beneficiary residing in the said barangay. The beneficiary conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the PSA program, highlighting how receiving the official PSA-issued birth certificate was a significant and meaningful step. This document not only provides his legal validation but also facilitates access to essential services and benefits, marking an important milestone in the beneficiary's personal and administrative affairs.

This initiative was essential for addressing the delayed registration of these individuals' live births. By completing the necessary requirements, the participants took the significant step toward securing their legal documentation, which is crucial for accessing various services and entitlements. The collaborative effort of the PSA and LCRO ensured a smooth and efficient registration process, highlighting the commitment to improving civil registration services in the community.

Starting 2022, one of the major programs of the PSA is the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project in the country. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples group, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
