31 May 2024 -The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Service Office MIMAROPA reports that a total of 2,646,436 MIMAROPANs have completed their Step 2 Registration to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) as of 31 May 2024. This number of registrants had their demographic information validated and biometric data collected in registration centers and through mobile registration since January 2021.

The highest cumulative number of registrants came from Palawan which accounted for 1,017,090 registrants, it was followed by Oriental Mindoro with 746,389 registrants and Occidental Mindoro with 432,232 registrants.

The PSA RSSO MIMAROPA continuously ramps up its Step 2 Registration in partnership with the Local Government Units and Institutional Establishments to bring the registration closer to the Filipinos. Continuous coordination with the barangay and seeking their assistance to reach out to far-flung areas, indigenous people communities, and schools is one of the strategies implemented by the Provincial Statistical Offices to locate the still unregistered MIMAROPANs.

For the latest updates on PhilSys, visit the official PhilSys website www.philsys.gov.ph or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial/).
