Celebrating Data: PSA Occidental Mindoro Joins the 35th National Statistics Month

In October 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Occidental Mindoro pursuant to Presidential Declaration No. 647 signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino on 20 September 1990 is proud to announce its participation for the 35th National Statistics Month celebration with the theme: Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation.     

The annual celebration of NSM aims to highlight the importance of statistics and promote data literacy to our community. It also promotes understanding of statistical concepts, helping individuals and communities become more informed consumers of data.

As part of the celebration, the PSA – Occidental Mindoro will conduct a series of activities including: Fun walk, Launching of Data Exhibit, Lectures on Statistics and Civil Registration, Statistics Quiz, Civil Registration Quiz, Orientations on PSGC, PSIC, PSOC, and PSCED, Tree Planting, Statistics Quiz, Career Orientation, Outreach Program, Philippine Statistics Quiz Provincial Elimination,  Field Staff Day, Awarding of most responsive agency, Best Statistical Researcher and Closing Ceremony.

PSA enjoins all agencies, LGUs, private sectors, state universities and colleges, and the public to continuously support and participate in the celebration of the 35th NSM in our province.
