11 JUNE 2025 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority has overcome significant logistical challenges and frequent power interruptions to achieve a milestone in its National ID registration efforts, onboarding 1,968 individuals in May 2025, a remarkable 273% of its monthly target.

This accomplishment underscores the team’s dedication despite the difficulties in operations across five islands of Romblon: Romblon mainland, Sibuyan, Tablas, Banton, and Corcuera. Mobile registration activities reached even the remote areas in the province.
This month’s output brings a cumulative total to 262,219 registrants. A key focus of the registration drive ensures that vulnerable and geographically isolated populations are included:
a. Indigenous Peoples: Successfully registered 148 members of the Sibuyan Mangyan Taga-bukid (SMT) and 12 members of the Bantoanon Tribe.
b. Senior Citizens: Enrolled 207 social pension beneficiaries through targeted initiatives
c. Children: Registered 282 children under the age of five as part of the ongoing rehistro bulilit campaign.
The municipality of Cajidiocan led the registrations in May 2025 with 736 individuals, followed by San Fernando (498), Romblon (279), and Odiongan (261). Also, the Fixed Registration Center processed 86 demographic updates, while ePhilID issuance has reached 226,313, 45,595 through Mode 1 and 180,718 via Mode 2.
Furthermore, mobile registration centers are currently operational in Banton, Sibuyan, Simara, and Tablas Islands. The Fixed Registration Center is also open at the G/F Kadbayan Building, Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
PSA Romblon remains committed to reach out Romblomanons through mobile and special registration initiatives; reaffirms its mission to provide identification services for inclusive development aligned with the goals of Republic Act No. 11055 (PhilSys Act).
