
04 July 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan participated in the Awareness Seminar on Presidential Decree 1083, or the Code of Muslim Personal Laws in the Philippines, and Other Laws Affecting Muslim Filipinos, held on June 25, 2025, at the VJR Hall, Palawan Provincial Capitol, Puerto Princesa City.
The seminar aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of legal frameworks relevant to the rights and practices of Muslim Filipinos. Representing PSA Palawan, Registration Officer II Romelita F. Hernandez served as one of the resource speakers and discussed the Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM)—its purpose, requirements, and its importance in legally recognizing marriages, particularly within the Muslim community.
To further support public education on civil registration, PSA Palawan also conducted information dissemination through the distribution of brochures, with BRC Gianne Nigelle Doria successfully handing out a total of 65 copies to participants.
