PSA Oriental Mindoro introduces Digital National ID to Mindoreños

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), launched the Digital National ID on 10 June 2024 at the PSA Headquarters at East Avenue in Diliman, Quezon City. Along with authentication platforms, National ID eVerify and National ID Check was also launched.

The Digital National ID is the official digital version of the National ID easily accessible through computers or smartphones with an internet connection. Like other formats such as the National ID and printed ePhilID, the Digital National ID is a valid proof of identification and age that can be presented in any government or private transactions. The digital National ID is one of the government’s efforts that allows National ID-registered citizens immediately enjoy the benefits of being a National ID holder. Registered citizens may also take a screenshot of their Digital National ID to obtain a personal copy.

To access and generate the Digital National ID, open the web browser and go to the link national-id.gov.ph or through the eGov PH application. Follow the transaction guide given in website or in application.

As per public advisory issued by the PSA on 11 June 2024, the Digital National ID must be accepted by the public, government and private institutions as a valid and sufficient proof of identity subject to authentication. All relying parties (RPs) of the PSA are advised to use the National ID Check to verify the authenticity of the Digital National ID.

As of 08 July 2024, PSA Oriental Mindoro assisted 298 clients in verifying their Digital National ID.
