16 October 2024 – GASAN, MARINDUQUE. In a proactive effort to enhance community engagement, particularly with agency stakeholders, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Marinduque conducted an information dissemination campaign at various money remittance centers and local establishments in the Municipality of Gasan on 16 October 2024.

The campaign featured engaging sessions led by PSA Marinduque representatives, who provided detailed explanations of the Public Advisory regarding the Digital National ID as a valid form of identification, contingent upon authentication. Attendees learned about the verification process, which includes utilizing the National ID Check to ensure the authenticity of the Digital National ID.

In addition to informative discussions, the PSA Team distributed instructional flyers outlining the steps to obtain the Digital National ID and how to effectively use the National ID Check. These materials were designed to equip community members with the knowledge necessary for navigating the new system. The sessions included a brief demonstration, showcasing how to access and use both tools efficiently.

Over the course of the day, the PhilSys Team visited 11 different establishments within the municipality, engaging with a diverse array of stakeholders, including employees and customers. This outreach ensured that community members are well-informed about the advantages and applications of the Digital National ID, which is designed to streamline identification processes and improve access to services.

The initiative also provided a platform for stakeholders to voice their questions and concerns regarding the Digital National ID. The PSA representatives addressed these inquiries, offering valuable insights and support to facilitate a smooth transition to these new formats of National ID.

The PSA Provincial Statistical Office Marinduque plans to continue similar outreach efforts in the future, further strengthening its ties with the community and promoting an inclusive identification system for all.
