22 April 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. Demonstrating strong progress in its identity registration efforts, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has achieved 211,796 successful registrations under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) also known as National ID System.

This figure, as of April 2025, represents 88.54 percent of Marinduque’s total registration target of 239,207, demonstrating the agency’s effective and sustained efforts to ensure that no resident is left behind — regardless of location, age, or socioeconomic background.

The province’s strong registration turnout is the result of an integrated approach that combines fixed-site operations, community-based outreach, and inter-agency collaboration. PSA PSO Marinduque employed a diverse range of strategies to reach even the most remote and underserved communities. In addition to the regular registration at the PSA Provincial Office in Boac, mobile registration teams were deployed across various barangays to cater to residents with limited mobility or access to town centers.

A key component of the campaign was the Rehistro Bulilit initiative, which facilitated registration for young children — including infants below one year old — through early childhood care centers, barangay events, and special community drives. This inclusive effort reflects PSA’s firm commitment to build a foundational identity system that starts from birth and spans all age groups.

To further enhance accessibility, PSA Marinduque collaborated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through co-location registration activities. By integrating National ID registration services with DSWD’s social welfare initiatives—particularly during 4Ps Family Development Sessions (FDS)—the agency was able to effectively reach vulnerable sectors and low-income families who may have limited access to regular registration sites.

With the successful registration of over 200,000 individuals, PSA PSO Marinduque continues to encourage the public — particularly those who have yet to register — to take advantage of ongoing services in the province.
