PSA Occidental Mindoro Successfully Turnover the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data to the Municipality of Paluan

In 16 October 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Occidental Mindoro is proud to announce the successful turnover of the 2023 CBMS data to the municipality of Paluan, held at Sangguniang Bayan Building, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. The ceremony was attended by the PSA officials from the Regional office of MIMAROPA led by the Regional Director Leni R. Rioflorido, the Chief Statistical Specialist of Statistical Operation and Coordination Division, Ms. Ma. Liezl L. Magbojos, PSA Occidental Mindoro personnel headed by the Chief Statistical Specialist Maribel L. Bernardo, PhD., Municipal Mayor Michael O. Diaz duly represented by the Municipal Planning and Development Officer of Paluan Mr. Manuel Erwin D. Gaupo, Jr., Provincial Government Department Heads and members of the CBMS coordinating board, and distinguished representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Provincial Planning Development Office.

Regional Director Leni Rioflorido, in her opening address, expressed her gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Paluan for their unwavering support and commitment during the conduct of 2023 CBMS within their jurisdiction and commended everyone for their effort, dedication, and hard work that resulted to the success of 2023 CBMS.

Mr. Arellano presented key highlights from the 2023 CBMS results, emphasizing their relevance in shaping effective local policies. The CBMS data will serve as a vital tool for the local government in addressing issues such as poverty alleviation, health care access, education, and infrastructure development. By analyzing the data, officials can prioritize projects that will have the greatest impact on the community.

A successful data turnover is not just a formal handover of information to the local government unit of Paluan; it is a transformative event that can drive positive change, enhance community resilience, and lay the groundwork for sustainable development.
