The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Occidental Mindoro is currently conducting the February 2023 Labor Force Survey (LFS) across the province. The data collection for this undertaking started on 8th February 2023 and will end on 28th February 2023.

The PSA Occidental Mindoro enjoins sample households to support the February 2023 LFS by providing truthful and complete necessary information. The sample households were selected from the 2013 Master Sample (MS) for household-based surveys of the PSA and will be interviewed face-to-face using a Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) by well-trained Statistical Researchers. Data items to be collected from this undertaking comprise: a.) demographic characteristics; and b.) economic characteristics. 

The February 2023 LFS aims to provide high frequency statistical information on the Philippine labor market to better monitor and understand the current job situation and economy in the Philippines as well as the impact of the current Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) health crisis. Results of the monthly LFS serve as basis for planning, formulation of policies, and implementing program to create gainful  employment and bolster livelihood opportunities for the Filipinos particularly those who were adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
