WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10625, s. 2013 states that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, including sectoral statistics, consolidation of administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts;

WHEREAS, the Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) is a mechanism to compile the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) using production approach and other economic accounts at the subregional level ;

WHEREAS, in 2021, PSA MIMAROPA started to compile and estimate the economic performance of its provinces and highly urbanized city;

WHEREAS, in 2024, PSA MIMAROPA will prepare estimates of the 2021 to 2023 economic performance of the provinces and the highly urbanized city in the region;

WHEREAS, in line with the estimation of the PPA, administrative data will also be collected from private sectors, government agencies including the local government units;

NOW, THEREFORE, ON A MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That RSC MIMAROPA requests support from local government units, regional line agencies, and other stakeholders in MIMAROPA on the generation of the 2021 to 2023 Provincial Product Accounts in the region.

RESOLVED FINALLY, That copies of this resolution be provided to all agencies concerned;

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
