WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 10625 states that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, including sectoral statistics, consolidation of administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts;
WHEREAS, the System of National Accounts (SNA) is an internationally agreed standard set of recommendations on how to compile measures of economic activity in accordance with strict accounting conventions
based on economic principles;
WHEREAS, the Regional Accounts of the Philippines (RAP) is being measured through the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Gross Regional Domestic Expenditure (GRDE);
WHEREAS, the GRDP is a comprehensive measure of economic activity, which measures the value of all final goods and services produced within the economy in a given period of time;
WHEREAS, the GRDE is the expenditure of residents of the region in the domestic territory plus their expenditures in other regions including the rest of the world;
WHEREAS, in 2024, PSA will prepare estimates of the 2021 to 2023 economic performance of the MIMAROPA Region;
WHEREAS, in line with the estimation of the RAP, administrative data will also be collected from the government agencies, local government units, and private sectors;
NOW, THEREFORE, ON A MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That RSC MIMAROPA requests the regional line agencies, local government units and private sectors in MIMAROPA Region to provide data support on the generation of the 2021 to 2023 Regional Accounts of the Philippines;
RESOLVED FINALLY, That copies of this resolution be provided to all agencies concerned;
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
