Vital events such as births, marriages, and deaths are significant milestones in individuals' lives and play a crucial role in societal record-keeping and demographic analysis. In Marinduque, six Local Civil Registry Offices collaborate closely with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office to ensure accurate documentation of these vital events. This collaboration is essential for maintaining reliable demographic data that informs policymaking and community development efforts within the province.

Registered Live Births
In the year 2023, Marinduque recorded a total of 2,635 live births. These births represent not only the growth of the population but also provide insights into fertility trends and healthcare needs. The distribution of live births throughout the year varied:
•    The peak month for live births was January, with 293 recorded instances.
•    The lowest number of live births occurred in December, with 127 recorded instances.

Sex distribution of live births: 
•    Male infants numbered 1,424, accounting for 54.0 percent of the total births.
•    Female infants numbered 1,211, accounting for 46.0 percent of the total births.

Registered Marriages 
Throughout 2023, a total of 1,019 marriages were solemnized across all religious sectors within Marinduque Province. Marriages are integral not only for individuals but also for the formation and stability of families and communities. The distribution of marriages across months varied as follows:
•    February witnessed the highest number of marriages, totaling 183.
•    August recorded the lowest number of marriages, with 23 instances.

Registered Deaths
In 2023, Marinduque Province recorded a total of 1,753 deaths, marking the conclusion of individuals' lives within the community. The distribution of deaths across months is as follows:
•    January had the highest number of deaths, totaling 167.
•    December had the lowest number of deaths, with 108 instances.

Sex distribution of deaths:
•    Males accounted for 987 deaths, constituting 56.3 percent of the total deaths.
•    Females accounted for 766 deaths, constituting 43.7 percent of the total deaths.

The collaboration between Marinduque's Local Civil Registry Offices and the PSA Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office is instrumental in ensuring accurate and comprehensive records of vital events.
