Banana

In the fourth quarter of 2024, banana production in Palawan declined by approximately 4.1 percent compared with the fourth quarter of 2023. The total volume of production this quarter was estimated at 2,158.33 metric tons, decreased by 93.34 metric tons from the 2,251.67 metric tons in the same period last year.

Of the total banana production in Palawan for the fourth quarter of 2024, 63.4 percent of the output came from banana saba. The remaining 36.6 percent was produced from varieties of lakatan, latundan, bungulan and others.

Calamansi

The production of calamansi in Palawan declined by about 3.1 percent during the fourth quarter of 2024. The 420.82 metric tons total volume of production was about 13.49 metric tons lower than the 434.31 metric tons recorded output in the same quarter of the previous year.

Mango

The mango production in the province in the fourth quarter of 2024 was recorded at 105.41 metric tons, which registered a decline of approximately 8.4 percent compared to the 115.08 metric tons harvested during the same quarter of the previous year.

Of the total mango production in province for the fourth quarter of 2024, 38.9 percent of the output came from mango others, 33.8 percent came from mango indian, and 27.3 percent was mango carabao production.

Pineapple

The production of pineapple in the province of Palawan declined by 5.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter output in 2023. The total volume of production this quarter was estimated at 60.05 metric tons or a decrease of about 3.28 metric tons than the 63.33 metric tons recorded output in the same quarter of the previous year.
