Banana 

In the second quarter of 2024, banana production in Palawan declined by approximately 6.3 percent compared with its production in the second quarter of 2023. The total volume of production this quarter was estimated at 7,362.29 metric tons, decreased by 492.07 metric tons from the 7,854.36 metric tons output in the same period last year. 

Of the total banana production in Palawan for the second quarter of 2024, 58.6 percent of the output came from banana, saba. The remaining 41.4 percent was produced from varieties of latundan, lakatan, bungulan and others. 

Calamansi 

The production of calamansi in Palawan decreased by about 8.1 percent during the second quarter of 2024. The 198.92 metric tons total volume of production was about 17.42 metric tons lower than the 216.34 metric tons recorded output in the same quarter of the previous year. 

Mango

The mango production in the province in the second quarter of 2024 was recorded at 14,297.08 metric tons, which registered a decline of approximately 8.9 percent compared to the harvested 15,686.95 metric tons during the same quarter of the previous year. 

Of the total mango production in province for the second quarter of 2024, 84.3 percent of the output came from mango carabao, 15.7 percent came from piko, indian and mango others production.

Pineapple

The production of pineapple in the province of Palawan increased by 3.7 percent in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter output in 2023. The total volume of production for this quarter was estimated at 372.84 metric tons, higher by 13.38 metric tons than the 359.46 metric tons recorded output in the same quarter of the previous year.
