The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) successfully distributed 105 laminated ePhilIDs to the residents of Barangay Bayuti, Boac, Marinduque on 06 May 2024. This initiative aims to extend the benefits of the Philippine Identification System, enhancing comprehensive identification accessibility, particularly for individuals in remote areas.
Recognizing the challenges faced by the residents of Barangay Bayuti, particularly in commuting to the town center, PSA Marinduque took a proactive step by laminating the ePhilID before delivery, offering convenience to the community. This initiative made Barangay Bayuti the second recipient of laminated ePhilIDs in the province.
The initiative was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from the residents of the said barangay, who expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. The laminated ePhilIDs not only provided them with a secure and durable identification card but also eased their daily transactions and interactions that require proper identification.
Additionally, the PSA Marinduque PSO conducted an educational campaign to raise awareness about the importance of having a valid and accessible identification card. Through informative sessions and community engagement, the PhilSys Team highlighted the various benefits and services that the ePhilID offers, emphasizing the significance of being officially recognized in both local and national transactions.
The success of the ePhilID distribution in Barangay Bayuti serves as a testament to the commitment of the PSA Marinduque PSO in ensuring that every Filipino, regardless of his location, could avail himself of essential services and benefits through a reliable and efficient identification system.
