18 July 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. On 18 July 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSA-Marinduque) successfully conducted an institutional National ID registration at Bahay Pag-asa, a government-run facility that provides temporary shelter and intervention services for children in conflict with the law (CICL) and other youth facing various social challenges.
This special registration activity forms part of PSA’s ongoing commitment to ensure inclusive access to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), particularly for marginalized and vulnerable groups. By bringing registration services directly to institutionalized individuals, PSA-Marinduque upholds the PhilSys mandate of universal coverage and social inclusion.
Conducted in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the management of Bahay Pag-asa, the activity enabled youth residents to register for their National ID, which serves as an official and foundational proof of identity. The National ID facilitates access to essential services such as banking, government assistance, education, and employment.
Through this initiative, the participating youth are given the opportunity to take a significant step toward legal identity, social empowerment, and reintegration into society.
The activity was conducted in a secure and respectful manner, in full compliance with data privacy regulations and child protection protocols.
PSA-Marinduque continues to expand its registration services to reach institutional facilities, remote areas, and underserved communities, in support of the government’s goal to establish a safe, accessible, and inclusive national identification system for all Filipinos.
