The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) MIMAROPA announces the conduct of the 2025 National Migration Survey (NMS). The 2025 NMS is the second round to be implemented, and its first implementation was conducted last May 2018, a nationwide survey on migration in the Philippines conducted by the University of the Philippines Population Institute in collaboration with the PSA. The NMS primarily aims to provide information on the mobility of the Philippine population in order to assist policymakers and program managers in evaluating and designing strategies for improving services and assistance to people abroad or moving within the country. It specifically aims to estimate international and inter-regional migration flows and major migration streams, to examine different types of migration and characteristics of internal and international migrants, and to determine levels, patterns, and processes of internal and international migration.

Data collection for the 2025 NMS is scheduled from 04 August 2025 to 05 September 2025. An authorized PSA interviewer will visit the sample households to conduct a personal interview.

In line with this, PSA MIMAROPA enjoins all sample households to participate in the 2025 NMS by providing truthful information.
