PSA Oriental Mindoro to Release the Results of the 

2023 Provincial Product Accounts of Oriental Mindoro

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office of Oriental Mindoro is set to release the results of the 2023 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of Oriental Mindoro, along with the other provinces and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) in MIMAROPA Region, through the conduct of simultaneous Provincial Dissemination Fora on 26 November 2024 at 10:00 AM. Representatives from the media, provincial line agencies, local government units, and other guests are expected to be present on this significant event.

The PPA serves as the mechanism of the PSA to measure the performance of the economy of the provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) using the production approach. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measure the value of all final goods and services produced within an economy in a given period of time. Consistent with the national and regional accounts, the PPA follows the System of National Accounts framework for compiling the GDP at the subregional level.

Through the PPA, the GDP of the provinces and the HUCs are compiled and the results can be used by economic planners, policymakers, and other stakeholders in assessing the performance of local economies, policy formulation and monitoring, impact analyses, among other, for an evidence-based decision making.
