31 July 2025 — LINAPACAN, PALAWAN. In a concerted effort to bring essential government services closer to remote communities, the Philippine Statistics Authority - Palawan Provincial Statistical Office (PSA Palawan), in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Linapacan, will conduct an onsite National ID registration in the municipality starting August 5, 2025, at the Linapacan Municipal Gymnasium. On behalf of PSA Palawan Officer-in-Charge, Supervising Statistical Specialist Donna Marie D. Mobe, Registration Officer II Romelita F. Hernandez paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Mayor Emil Neri to formally coordinate the registration activity. The meeting was also supported by Municipal Civil Registrar Olivia Palanca, ensuring full cooperation between PSA and the LGU.
The upcoming activity will serve all age groups, from infants to senior citizens, ensuring that every eligible Filipino in Linapacan can register for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). The National ID aims to promote financial inclusion, streamline access to government and private sector services, and enable secure and efficient identity verification nationwide.
Services to be offered include registration for individuals who have not yet enrolled in PhilSys, verification of registration status, and the issuance of printed National IDs in paper form, subject to availability, for those who are already registered. Residents who have previously registered are strongly encouraged to bring their PhilSys transaction slip to facilitate the quick retrieval of their records and potential ePhilID issuance.
To ensure a smooth and efficient registration process, all registrants are reminded to bring valid supporting documents, such as the original copy of their birth certificate, government-issued IDs, or a barangay certificate for identity verification and to avoid unnecessary delays.
This initiative underscores the shared commitment of PSA Palawan and LGU Linapacan to make government programs accessible to all, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. Through continued inter-agency coordination, both institutions strive to ensure that no Filipino is left behind.
