24 March 2025 – CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA. Training on data tabulation and analysis using Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro) software was conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan on 17 to 19 March 2025 at VJR Hall Capitol Complex, Provincial Capitol, Puerto Princesa City to selected Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) staff. The three-day training was requested and organized by PPDO with the aim to upskill its employees in utilizing the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data of the 18 municipalities and one highly urbanized city in Palawan.

Senior Statistical Specialist Jesus Niño M. Sorima, Information Systems Analyst II Reinell L. Manlapaz, and Statistical Specialist II Marnito C. Andrada were the technical personnel of PSA Palawan who served as the resource persons for this activity. They discussed the basic features of CSPro software and trained the participants in adding value sets, creating simple tabulations, and generating complex tables using Tabulation Logics (TabLog) and Post Calculation (PostCalc). Various hands-on exercises were also conducted to assess the trainees' understanding of each topic covered.

In her opening message, Supervising Statistical Specialist Donna Marie D. Mobe, the Officer-in-Charge of PSA Palawan, assured that PSA is always ready to support PPDO should they need further assistance in data tabulation. Moreover, Engr. Rafael Balcueba Jr., EnP, the Assistant Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDO), expressed his gratitude towards PSA for granting their request immediately. The PPDO will now be able to generate data needed for their plans and programs for the betterment of Palawan.
