19 February 2025 – MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE. Boac, Marinduque – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) PSO Marinduque has successfully completed its February 2025 Retail Price Survey (RPS), reaffirming its role in delivering critical data for economic analysis and inflation tracking.

The survey, conducted in two phases from February 1-5 and February 15-17, engaged six Statistical Researchers (SRs) in gathering price data from retail outlets across the province. This data—spanning essential commodities such as food, transport, housing, and healthcare—feeds into the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key indicator of inflation trends and economic stability.

With inflation being a primary concern for both households and policymakers, the PSA’s commitment to accurate data collection ensures that economic strategies are based on real-time market conditions. The CPI, refined through this survey, serves as a reliable benchmark for understanding price fluctuations and developing responsive policies.

Looking ahead, PSA PSO Marinduque continues to enhance its data collection framework, working closely with businesses and communities to ensure transparency and precision in economic monitoring. These efforts will help shape sustainable development strategies and safeguard economic resilience in Marinduque.
