MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) successfully conducted the March 2025 Monthly Palay and Corn Situation Reporting System (MPCSRS), from March 1 – 5, 2025.

The MPCSRS is a monitoring system for the growing conditions and actual plantings of palay and corn. It aims to update the current quarter’s estimates based on standing crops and to project next quarter’s estimates based on farmers' planting intentions.

PSA Marinduque hired two Statistical Researchers (SRs) to conduct personal interviews with 87 sample palay-farming households from the five sample barangays and 38 sample corn-farming households from three sample barangays across the province. 

In line with this, the sample palay and corn farming households are encouraged to participate in this nationwide undertaking by providing accurate and necessary information.

According to Section 19 of Republic Act No. 10173, the “Data Privacy Act of 2012,” all collected information will be kept confidential. Section 26 of RA No. 10625 states that individual data provided to the PSA for statistical inquiries is privileged communication and inadmissible as evidence in any proceeding.
