8 November 2024 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office organized the 2024 Statistics Olympics, exclusively for PSO employees. This remarkable event took place at the scenic DC Munting Paraiso Resort in Brgy. Agnay, Romblon, Romblon last 31 October 2024.
The 2024 Employee Statistics Olympics served as the closing ceremony of the month-long festivities celebrating the 35th National Statistics Month, with this year's theme being “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation.”

The day's activities comprised five exciting challenges which includes Pass or Keep the Box, Guess the Gibberish, PSA Says, Statistical Relay Race and Pictogram Contest – each fostering healthy competition among the 4 competing teams of Blue, Red, Yellow and White composed of PSO Romblon staff from different units, including the Statistical, Civil Registration, PhilSys, Admin Unit and Contract of Service Workers.
The game masters and technical staff in this event were composed of Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Johnny F. Solis, Registration Officer I Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna, and Information Systems Analyst Dexter Dave F. Felia.
At the end of the activity, Team Blue emerged as the Champion, followed by Team Red as second place. Meanwhile, Team White and Team Yellow garnered third and fourth place, respectively.
Moreover, Statistics Quiz was conducted for COSWs. It was divided into three categories: Easy, Average, and Difficult. The COSW that amassed the highest points emerged triumphant in this cerebral showdown. Mr. Mark John F. Salvador proved his mettle in this challenge as being the Champion, while Engr. Reniel Fabro placing second and Ms. Hannah Joy Fabello as third place.
The event was a resounding success and had a profound impact on PSA Romblon employees. It brought the employees closer together, fostered a sense of camaraderie and mutual support, and strengthened their commitment to working together toward common goals.
