11 March 2024 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. As part of the celebration of the 34th Civil Registration Month with a theme “CRVS: The Future of Seamless Services”,  Philippine Statistics Authority Romblon Statistical Office conducted activities that will highlight its social responsibility concern.

PSA Romblon personnel, with the assistance of Barangay LGU of Li-o, Romblon, Romblon, conducted Mangrove Planting at the coastal area of the said barangay to serve as protection from strong waves that is so frequent in the area. A total of 300 mangrove seedlings were planted during the activity. Then after, the team carried out the clean-up drive to remove the trash, plastic litters and garbage scattered and deposited over the coastal area of the said barangay.

Finally, the team conducted Gift-giving and Feeding Program to the Li-o Day Care Center. School supplies were given to the pupils and they were treated with food for their consumption.

Sangguniang Barangay Member Felecito M. Musa, the Officer-in-Charge of BLGU Li-o, expressed his appreciation to PSA Romblon for chosing their barangay as beneficiary of their social responsibility activities. He expressed optimism of conducting future collaborative activities with the PSA.
