Religious Affiliation in Gloria, Oriental Mindoro

Roman Catholic account for 86.8 percent of the household population
Of the 50,418 household population in 2020, 43,778 persons (86.8 percent) reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation. It was followed by Iglesia Ni Cristo with 1,333 persons or 2.6 percent, and Seventh Day Adventist with 992 persons with 2.0 percent. Completing the top ten Religious Affiliations in 2020 in the municipality of Gloria were Other Protestant with 1.2 percent, Church of Christ with 1.0 percent, Jesus is Lord Church with 0.6 percent, Other Evangelical Churches with 0.4 percent, I Am Redeemer and Master Evangelical Church Inc., Door of Faith and Other Baptist with 0.3 percent, each.
Barangay Macario Adriatico has the highest proportion of household population with Roman Catholic as religion
Of the 27 Barangays in the municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Macario Adriatico posted the highest proportion of Roman Catholics comprising 96.1 percent of the household population. Completing the top ten with the highest proportion who reported Roman Catholic as their religion were Barangay Agos with 94.8 percent, Barangay Maragooc with 93.0 percent, Barangay Andres Bonifacio with 92.9 percent, Barangay Agsalin with 92.7 percent, Barangay Alma Villa with 92.6 percent, Barangay Guimbonan with 91.8 percent, Barangay Papandungin and Barangay Malubay with 91.6 percent, each and Barangay Narra with 91.3 percent. Barangay Malayong reported 75.1 percent of its household population that reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation, thus, making it as the least household population with Roman Catholics. Barangays with at least 90.0 percent of household population who reported Roman Catholic as their religion
Among the 27 Barangays in the municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, there were thirteen barangays with at least 90.0 percent of household population reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation. These Barangays were Barangay Macario Adriatico with 96.1 percent, Barangay Agos with 94.8 percent, Barangay Maragooc with 93.0, Barangay Andres Bonifacio with 92.9 percent, Barangay Agsalin with 92.7 percent, Barangay Alma Villa with 92.6 percent, Barangay Guimbonan with 91.8 percent, Barangay Papandungin and Barangay Malubay with 91.6 percent, each, Barangay Narra with 91.3 percent, Barangay Kawit with 91.2 percent, Barangay Gaudencio Antonino with 90.7 percent and Barangay Banutan with 90.4 percent. Barangay Bulaklakan has the highest proportion of household population with Iglesia ni Cristo as religion
Among the 27 Barangays in the municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Bulaklakan posted the highest proportion of Iglesia ni Cristo with 6.2 percent as their religion. It was followed by Barangay Malamig with 6.1 percent and Barangay Tambong with 5.7 percent. Completing the top ten Barangays includes Barangay Banutan with 4.9 percent, Barangay Papandungin with 4.0 percent, Barangay Malayong with 3.0 percent, Barangay Balete and Barangay Kawit with 2.8 percent, each, Barangay Agsalin with 2.7 percent and Barangay Narra with 2.6 percent. However, Barangay Macario Adriatico has the least proportion of the household population with 0.1 percent reported igelesia ni Cristo as their religion. (Table 5)

The population and housing censuses in the Philippines are conducted on a “de jure” basis, that is, a person is counted in the usual place of residence or the place where the person usually resides. The enumeration of the population and collection of pertinent data in the 2020 CPH referred to all living persons as of 01 May 2020.
For the 2020 CPH, data on the Religious Affiliation of all household members were collected by asking the respondents, “What is ____’s religious affiliation?”.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
