Religious Affiliation in San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro

Roman Catholic account for 71.9 percent of the household population

Of the 19,116 household population in 2020, 13,742 persons or 71.9 percent reported Roman Catholic, Excluding Catholic Charismatic as their religious affiliation in the municipality of San Teodoro. It was followed by Bible Baptist Church with 699 persons or 3.7 percent, and Other Protestant with 554 persons with 2.9 percent. Completing the top ten Religious Affiliations in 2020 in the municipality of San Teodoro were Iglesia ni Cristo with 2.7 percent, Baptist Conference of the Philippines, Philippine Ecumenical Christian Church with 1.2 percent, each, Iglesia Evangelista Methodista en Las Islas Filipinas (IEMELIF) and Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach with 1.1 percent, each, United Church of Christ in the Philippines with 0.9 percent, and Jesus is Lord Church with 0.6 percent. Barangay Tacligan with the highest proportion of household population that reported Roman Catholic as their religion

Of the eight barangays in the municipality of San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Tacligan posted the highest proportion of Roman Catholics comprising 95.9 percent of the household population. It was followed by Barangay Lumangbayan with 90.4 percent, Barangay Calsapa with 87.9 percent, Barangay Poblacion with 86.3 percent, and Barangay Ilag with 79.3 percent, Barangay Caagutayan reported the least number of household population with Roman Catholic as religion with 874 or 28.6 percent. Barangays with 90.0 percent of household population who reported Roman Catholic as their religion

Among the eight barangays in the municipality of San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro, there were two barangays with 90.0 percent of household population reported Roman Catholic as their religious affiliation. These were Barangay Tacligan with 95.9 percent, and Barangay Lumangbayan with 90.4 percent.

Barangay Calangatan has the highest proportion of household population with Bible Baptist Church as religion

The municipality of San Teodoro was able to register 699 persons (3.7 percent) who reported Bible Baptist Church as their religion. Of the eight barangays in the municipality of San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Caagutayan posted the highest proportion of Bible Baptist Church with 12.2 percent as their religion. It was followed by Barangay Calangatan with 11.4 percent, Barangay Lumangbayan with 0.3 percent, and Barangay Calsapa with 0.2 percent. (Table 5)
