MAMBURAO, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conduct the 2025 National Migration Survey (NMS) from 04 August to 01 September 2025 to gather comprehensive information on migration trends, patterns, and the socio-economic characteristics of migrants in the country.

The NMS 2025 is a nationwide household-based survey designed to generate critical data on internal and international migration. It seeks to understand the movement of people within and outside the Philippines, including reasons for migration, employment conditions, remittances, and the impact of migration on families and communities. The survey results will support evidence-based policies and programs on population and development, labor, and social welfare.

In Occidental Mindoro, four Statistical Researchers (SRs) and one Team Supervisor (TS) were hired to carry out the enumeration in 393 sample households across the province. These trained personnel will visit the selected households to conduct face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaires.

The PSA enjoins all selected households to participate in the survey and provide truthful responses, emphasizing that their cooperation is vital in producing accurate migration statistics that will benefit both the local community and the nation.

All information gathered will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with Republic Act (RA) No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) and Sections 26 and 27 of RA No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013). Data will be compiled and released in statistical summaries only, with no reference to any individual or household.
