PRESS RELEASE

PSA Occidental Mindoro Enhances National ID System Services with Hybrid Refresher Training for Personnel

Date of release: January 28, 2025
Reference No. 2025PR-12

January 28, 2025 — In a bold step towards fostering innovation and resilience in government services, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Occidental Mindoro successfully conducted a hybrid refresher training for National ID Personnel on January 16-17, 2025. Led by Chief Statistical Specialist Dr. Maribel L. Bernardo and National ID Focal Person Mr. Christian A. Altarejos, the event seamlessly combined face-to-face interactions and virtual participation via Zoom, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all personnel across the province.

The two-day training aimed to empower National ID Personnel with the latest knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide exceptional frontline services as the National ID System gears up for its anticipated workload in 2025. The hybrid training offered the best of both worlds—dynamic in-person discussions alongside the flexibility of a virtual setting, enabling broader participation and interaction.

During the training, personnel explored key updates, including an in-depth review of the National ID System’s existing services, a thorough introduction to the new rebranding scheme, and a deep dive into the recently released office memos that will guide future operations. The training also focused on preparing the team for the surge in workload expected in the upcoming year.

With the rise of digital and remote learning tools, the hybrid training model proved to be an effective and modern approach to ensure every member of the team, whether joining in person or online, received the same comprehensive experience. This innovative approach mirrors the PSA Occidental Mindoro’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve and supporting the Philippine government’s vision for a streamlined, accessible, and efficient National ID System.

As the National ID System continues to evolve, the PSA Occidental Mindoro remains dedicated to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its workforce, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the premier government agency responsible for collecting, compiling, and disseminating critical statistical data. PSA Occidental Mindoro plays a vital role in the implementation of national policies and programs, including the National ID System, and works to improve public service delivery through data-driven solutions.
