04 July 2025 - CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. In a significant move towards improving social services and ensuring that senior citizens are fully included in national development programs, the Philippine Statistics Authority Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Oriental Mindoro supports the National ID registration for senior citizens. This initiative is designed to enhance accessibility to government services, ensure accurate identification, and strengthen social protection for elderly citizens.
The National lD, which serves as a primary identification tool for all citizens, will now be available to individuals aged zero and above. The registration process is aimed at making sure senior citizens are properly accounted for in key services like healthcare, pensions, and welfare programs.
The benefits of the National lD for Senior Citizens were to improve access to services, increased security and fraud prevention, enhanced social protection and convenience. With the National lD, senior citizens will have a single, recognized form of identification that can be used for various purposes, making dayto-day transactions more convenient.
Starting 01 July 2025, PSO Oriental Mindoro will commence the continuous registration for the National lD System in the municipalities of Naujan, Victoria, Socorro, Pola, Pinamalayan, Gloria, Bansud, Bongabong, and Mansalay. Residents of these municipalities are encouraged to participate in the registration process, which will involve the collection of biometric data, personal information, and other necessary details.
For further information and updates on National ID registration and other services, residents are encouraged to visit the official PSA Oriental Mindoro's FB page: https://www facebook.com/psa.orientalmindoro or reach us via email: orientalmindoro@psa.gov.ph or contact their nearest local registration centers.
