17 May 2024, ROMBLON, ROMBLON. In April 2024, PSA-Romblon successfully completed 2,093 registrations, reaching 53.67 percent of its target workload for Step 2 registration. As of 30 April 2024, PhilSys now registered a total of 246,311 Romblomanons.

The data shows that PSO Romblon successfully reached 87.9 percent of the target population. OPerating 6 registration kits, the PhilSys teams stationed on the islands of Tablas, Sibuyan, and Romblon engaged in municipal and school registration saturation. Despite the difficulties caused by the province's location, they committed themselves getting more additional registrants.

Through a continuing partnership between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Romblon and the Philippine Statistics Authority-Romblon Provincial Statistical Office, beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) received the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) during Family Development Sessions (FDS) in April 2024. Additionally, the PSA made sure that all 4Ps beneficiaries could register with PhilSys by bringing ePhilID issuing and registration services to FDS facilities.

Furthermore, in April 2024, the PhilSys teams successfully issued 1,442 ePhilIDs. For the year, a total of 3,812 ePhilIDs have been issued by PSA Romblon. As of 30 April 2024, the total number of ePhilIDs issued, reached 213,134.

Of the total ePhilIDs claimed by Romblomanons, 32,416 were issued via Mode 1 print upon request or appointment, while the remaining 180,718 were printed and given to the appropriate cardholders by PhilSys staff (Mode 2).

The Philippine Identification System Act, or Republic Act 11055, was signed into law in August 2018. It aims to establish a single national ID for all Filipinos and resident aliens, providing valid proof of identity for Filipino citizens and resident aliens of the Philippines.
