The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has effectively completed the survey for July 2024, focusing on retail prices of specific commodities and services for the generation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The data collected through this extensive survey are pivotal for understanding economic trends and making informed decisions. The CPI serves as a crucial economic indicator that influences various aspects of the economy, including inflation rates, cost of living adjustments, and monetary policy decisions.
To facilitate the data collection regarding the prices of particular goods and services, the PSA-Marinduque PSO enlisted the assistance of six Statistical Researchers (SRs). These researchers were assigned the responsibility of visiting six specified outlets throughout the province to accomplish the survey, which are divided into two phases: the initial phase took place from July 1-5, 2024, followed by the second phase from July 15-17, 2024.
The successful completion of this survey underscores the dedication and hard work of the PSA Marinduque team, who meticulously collected and analyzed data from numerous retail establishments across the province. Their efforts ensure that the CPI reflects the most current market conditions, providing valuable insights for policymakers, businesses, and consumers alike.
As the PSA continues its mission to deliver accurate and timely statistical information, it remains committed to transparency, excellence, and public service, aiming to enhance the quality of life for all citizens through informed governance and economic stability.
