21 September 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) remains committed to further expanding the reach of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) by focusing on inclusive strategies that target every "sitio" and "purok" within the province. This initiative is facilitated through the ongoing implementation of purok-based registration drives.

This community-focused approach involves setting up registration centers within puroks, or small community clusters, allowing individuals to enroll without the need to travel long distances.

By bringing the registration process closer to residents, the agency ensures that even residents in geographically isolated and remote areas can access the PhilSys services. This decentralized approach significantly reduces the time, cost, and effort associated with traveling to central registration offices, thereby making the process more convenient and encouraging higher participation.

The initiative has already covered multiple barangays, allowing more Marinduqueños to secure their National IDs. With 206,032 registrants who have completed the Step 2 Registration and 160,919 ePhilIDs issued as of 21 September 2024, the ongoing registration drives are important part of the agency’s goal to enroll 92 million Filipinos in the PhilSys program.

As the PhilSys initiative continues to expand its reach, it promises to significantly enhance the efficiency of public service delivery and foster a more inclusive society. The PSA Marinduque PSO remains dedicated to this mission, driven by the belief that every citizen deserves recognition and access to the opportunities provided by the government.

Individuals who have not yet registered are strongly encouraged to participate in these initiatives to enroll in the National ID system. You may visit the Fixed Registration Center or our official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PSA-Marinduque for the schedules of PhilSys Mobile Registration.
