25 March 2024 – Philippine Statistics Authority MIMAROPA
The Philippine Statistics Authority MIMAROPA has officially opened Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration to the MIMAROPANs children one to four years old. This is part of the PSA’s continued efforts to register more Filipinos to PhilSys, including one to four years old.
To register a child aged one to four years old, a parent or legal guardian who is already registered with PhilSys must be present. The generated PhilSys Number (PSN) or permanent identification number of the child will be linked to the accompanying parent or guardian.
In addition, supporting documents must be provided to confirm the child's demographic information. The following supporting documents are acceptable:
• Certificate of Live Birth issued by the PSA or the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)
• Report of Birth issued by the PSA or Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP)
• Certificate of Foundling issued by the PSA
• Certificate of Foundling or Certificate of Live Birth for Persons with No Known Parent/s issued by the PSA
• Municipal Form No. 102
• Philippine Passport or ePassport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
• Any document containing the child's full name, date and place of birth, the full name of the mother, and the full name of the father if acknowledged.
Once the demographic information is validated, a front-facing photograph of the child will be taken. The complete biometric information, including fingerprints, iris scan, and an updated front-facing photograph, will be captured only when the child reaches the age of five.
Through this, PSA MIMAROPA proves its commitment to serving the people of the MIMAROPA region with excellence and integrity.
