15 January 2025- CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO - The Philippine Statistics Authority Provincial Statistical Office of Oriental Mindoro, in collaboration with the City Civil Registrars Department (CCRD) Calapan City, successfully conducted a mobile registration under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in Barangay Lazareto.

A total of five clients were accommodated during the activity, which aimed to assist individuals in securing their birth records, ensuring their legal identity, and providing access to essential government services. The BRAP is a national initiative designed to increase birth registration levels, particularly in marginalized communities, including Indigenous Peoples (IPs), Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sectors. By bringing registration services directly to these communities, the project seeks to eliminate barriers to civil registration and uphold every individual's right to a legal identity.

The PSA Provincial Statistical Office of Oriental Mindoro encourages all eligible individuals to take advantage of similar initiatives in their localities. For inquiries about birth registration and upcoming mobile registration schedules, the public may contact us at 441-6252 or email us at orientalmindoro@psa.gov.ph or contact your respective local civil registrars.
