07 August 2025 – GLORIA, ORIENTAL MINDORO. In its continuous effort to make civil registration services more accessible to Indigenous Peoples communities, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro, through the Birth Registration Assistance Project, conducted a mobile registration activity in Sitio Bungkarot, Barangay Buong Lupa, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, benefiting members of the Mangyan community.
A total of 16 individuals were assisted and accommodated during the one-day activity. The initiative was spearheaded by Birth Registration Coordinator Ms. Czarina Jane Aclopen, in close coordination with the staff of the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Gloria. The team personally visited the area to ensure that residents, especially those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged locations, were provided with the opportunity to register their births and secure their legal identity.
This mobile registration is part of PSA’s commitment to promote inclusive civil registration, ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing vital documents that are essential for education, employment, social services, and the exercise of basic rights. The PSA Oriental Mindoro and LCRO Gloria reaffirm their dedication to reaching underserved communities through sustained outreach and partnership programs.
