08 August 2025 – GLORIA, ORIENTAL MINDORO. Continuing its mission to make civil registration more accessible to Indigenous Peoples communities, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro, through the Birth Registration Assistance Project, successfully conducted a mobile registration activity in Sitio Tribal Village, Barangay Malamig, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro.
A total of 12 individuals from the Mangyan community were assisted and accommodated during the outreach. The activity was led by Birth Registration Coordinator Ms. Czarina Jane Aclopen, together with the dedicated staff of the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Gloria. The team personally visited the sitio to ensure that residents in remote and underserved areas were provided with the opportunity to register their births and secure their legal identity.
This initiative forms part of PSA’s ongoing commitment to ensure that every Filipino, regardless of location or socio-economic status, has access to civil registration services. Through these mobile registration activities, PSA Oriental Mindoro and LCRO Gloria aim to bridge the gap for communities in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, empowering individuals with the legal documentation essential for education, employment, social services, and the exercise of basic rights.
